Cooke School Update

- Sep 12, 2014      Archive

A lot has happened since our last post on July 4th. We had a booth at the Florida Association of REALTORS® Convention in Orlando in August. We had a lot of past students come by and say “Hi”, which was lots of fun. It was great seeing previous Cooke students who have obtained their real estate license, there to enjoy the convention/trade show. The response at the convention of our new 14 hour Correspondence course being available for only $14.95, was also a hit.

The biggest news to report is that our reporting system to the Florida’s Department of Business and Professional Regulation (DBPR) is now totally automated. Once a student completes a CE or Post license course, the certificate of completion is automatically generated to the student, which we have been doing for years, our system now automatically records the completion on the DBPR website portal, showing the course was satisfactorily completed. The real benefit of this is that students’ records are instantly updated and it eliminates potential errors in reporting. Students’ just need to make sure they type their license number in correctly when they register for the course.

The next big news is that Cooke School has completed the North Dakota 45 Hour pre-license course and submitted it to ARELLO for certification. Presently, there is only one online pre-license sales course available for North Dakota students, so once we get this course approved, students who want to enter the real estate profession, will have another outlet for an online course at a reduced tuition fee from the one course that is presently available.
